Good evening parents, teachers, and fellow aduates. On behalf of the Collingwood Col- giate Institute graduating class of 1996/97, vould like to take this opportunity to welcome I of you to this memorable crossroad in our •es.
Upon crossing this road, it is difficult not ponder our history together. After all of the emories created over the past four or five lars, it is impossible to imagine any of the >mplete without each and every one of us. Just glancing at my CCI Gleaners, I am re- linded of several momentous experiences 1roughout our time together at Collingwood
Colle_giate. Could you ever forget the day that we Witnessed Mrs. Nuttley smooching with Mr. Redmond's pig, how about the cabaret per- formance where we observed the sexy side of Mr. Hamlin. As well as these little episodes, we have all shared many more fond memories of our involvement with athletic teams, bands, choirs, clubs, spirit days, assemblies and much more.
. All of these memories that were just men- tioned have touched everyone in many differ- ent ways because we each had our own special place here at CCI. But life is about change ~nd it is now time for all of us to find our place 1n ~ur new world. As difficult as it may appear to independently search for our own place in life, we must do it alone; remembering that "tl'te right road is not necessarily a well-beaten path".
But if you ever feel lost or alone in your quest, don't ever ask me which way to go

because I have horrendous orienteering skills, but seriously if you do ever feel lost you will be able to reflect upon our memories of high school and find the strength from the lessons that we have learned from each other, our par- ents and our teachers. Lessons which have molded us into the exceptional individuals that we all are today and prepared us for the chal- lenges of tomorrow.
Class of '97, it's time to be strong, it's time to be distinctive, it's time to do for a bigger world what we all did for CCI!
The gateway to a future of possibilities has opened tonight ... so giv'er like 90 before the gate hits you in the ass!
Thank you.
