            CCI Girls Volleyball
teams started strong in the battle with Barrie.
espite the many ups and downs that the D Junior Girls Volleyball Team witnessed
duriDg the shortened season, they fought
hard to attain the right to play in the regional championships. Ranked 3rd, the CCI girls eliminated St.
Joes in two well- executed games, moving them into the
finals to face Eastview. Although the Owls started strong,
the Eastview squad demonstrated a fantastic team game
which allowed them to capture the championship. When
all is said and done, the season was a blast. A special
thanks to Coach Haiduk for carrying us under her wing
and as well, thanks are also extended to Dane Bourgard
and Matt Campbell for their rugged good looks and ex- pertise as assistant coaches. Members of the Junior Team (TOP LT) were Karen Baulke, Stephanie Bevan, Jessica Breitenfeld, Jennifer Buie, Ashley Cornfield, Com1ney David- son, Kaylan Gallacher, Danielle Garvie, Amanda Haynes, Julie Hunt, Cheryl Kemsley, Katie Lloyd, Erin McAndrew, Nicole Noseworthy, Joanne Peddle and Jodie Switzer. The
Senior Girls Team (BOT LT) once again went through the season indefeated as they beat teams from Barrie North, Eastview, St. Joes, Stayner and Vanier. They won the Consolation Championship at the Georgian College Tourn- ament and were 2nd in our own invitational tournament. At the White Ball Tournament in Orillia, they played well, but were hurt by injuries and eventually bowed out in the elimin- ation round of the consolation tournament. In the playoffs, the CCI squad ooly played one match due to a change in
the set- up and unfortunately came up short, loosing to Eastview 2 games to 1 in very tight, but well- played games. All of the players contributed during the season, but special mention goes to Laura Powers, Jen McKay
and Michelle Trembly for their stellar play throughout the season. Good luck is wished to graduating seniors Stephanie Fryer, Bobbie McNaim, Kelly and Shannon O'Neil and Nicole Millman. Other members of the team included Katherine Sencar, Laurie Stevenson, Pareen Gill, Candace Hare, Beth- Anne Holbrook, Robyn McCoy, Jackie Morrill and Erin Shaw. To the rest, we'll see you next year and take another run at GB's again. Special thanks is also extended to Luka Senk who contributed a great deal to the game with his quiet demeanor and ex- cellent knowledge of the game. This was a great season for Coaches Sharp and Nonnan.
Erin McAndrew is captain of the Junior I'igbting Owls.
Pareen Gill, a strong member of the Sr. team. bas played v- balllhroughout her CCI career.
Failing to .etum a CCI serve, brings a smile to Jenn McKay.
