          The Sports Banquet was truly a night ofstars as CCI paid recognition to its fine athletes.

various teams and their achievements are recognized. The school has an ex-
tensive history ofmany fine athletes and this year proved to be no exception. The banquet not only paid tribute to the team members, but their coaches as well. Brian Recoskie was presented with a trophy for his excellence in the field of cross- country running. Tylie Fin- nie had reason to celebrate after being pre- sented with the Boy's Basketball Award. Vol- leyball Awards were given to Ted Kern and Marj Klinck. Major letter recipients were Julie Crago, Jay Campbell and Maij Klinck. Senior
School Letters were handed out to James Li- otta, Jay Campbell, Michelle Dempsey, Kelly ONeil, Helen Sharp and Laura Powers. Erin Shaw and Matt Campbell were chosen as the Junior Athletes of the year. Miguel Martin re- ceived a well- deserved award for his excel- lence in wrestling. Justin Corriveau was named CCI's Gym Rat ofthe Year. Mr.
Nickel had the honour of presenting Julie Crago with a trophy for her exceptional skills which won her Senior Girl Athlete of the Year. Mr. Hirst was privileged to bestow the honour of Senior Male Athlete of the Year to Paul Corriveau. Special recognition was given to
retiring coaches Mr. Berni, Mrs. Berni, Mr. Knox, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Jardine, Mr. Chand- ler and Mr. Rhodes.
Paul Corriveau was named CCI's Sr. Male<'!Athlete of
the year.
