The Annual Door Decorating Con- test has always been a popular event, but 1998 saw extreme competition between the students in Mr. Pearce's and Miss Greer's homeroom. After a difficult decision by the judges, Mr. Pearce's door won the pizza lunch (thanks to the many donations of decor- ations by Miss Greer's class. Furthermore, although this is not to sound like a case of sour grapes, many did view Mr. Pearce's taking of the Ozzie outfit so Ryan Phillips could appear as the CCI school mascot and hand out large candy canes to the judges
to border on bribery!) Auditions were held for the Christmas Concert and the gym was entertained by MCs Jeremy Birrell and Jenn Noordegraaf. Acts included skits by several organizations, Mr. Warner showing off his legs in a kilt and some very unique ballerinas. Jen Canning, Tara Robinson and Joe Prokopec won the honour of turning Mr. Hunwicks
into an ice- cream sundae. Although the holidays were shortened slightly, everyone looked forward to a break in routine and the opportunity to spend time with friends and family. Jessica Brei- tenfeld and Mike Hutchesson (TOP Ln decorate their third
place winning door. Dane Bourgard (MID TOP) puts on a good performance at the Christmas assembly and Jeremy Birrell, this time known as "Pablo", provides some. musical entertainment.
The Christmas Semi- formal (Rn was the scene of many in- credibly beautiful CCI ladies. Angela Hutchinson {MID Ln and her fellow OSAID members board their float. Erin McAndrew (MID) shows the male staff members how to really perform ballet. Rob Arkwright (MID) drums his way down Pine Street. Final touches (Rn are added to Miss Greer's creative door by Gosia Kozak, Brooke Williams and Matt Halliday. Each year, the mem- bers of Mr. Moore's woodworking class (BOT Ln makes beautiful toys to donate to the Salvation Army's Toy Drive.
Justin Allen (MID) is one lucky guy to be surrounded
by so many pretty ladies. The Winners of the Best Door (Rn were treated to carol singing by Miss Greer's class + a pizza party .
