 I Have Always Wondered
by Nick Beaupre
l have always wondered what it would be like
To play professional baseball or hockey I'd like to stand up to the plate at Yankee Stadium,
Skydome or Fenway Park in Boston I'd try to hit off the best pitchers, Roger Clemens, Billy Koch or Padreo Martinez
I'd like to play goalie at some of the most famous arenas,
Air Canada Center, Madison Square Gardens or Joe Louis Arena
Where I'd try to save the puck from some of the best players,
Mats Sundin, Thereon Fluery or Steve Yzerman
l have always wondered and l think it would be Exhilarating
Her Life
by Tobi Kirby
I didn't know that it would be this way, l thought it would be fine,
No one told me it would be unstoppable. My life is like a rotting vegetable, Rotting away and no one knows.
How could I have done this to myself? Why would I put my body through the pain?
My life has been pulled right from me.
I was so stupid!
My body is a race that never ends,
I started something and I can't stop'
First Love
by Amanda Wright
I always feel happy
When you're in sight,
My mind is filled with wonder, My heart with delight.
When did this feeling start? When will it stop?
I won't listen to my mind If it breaks my heart.
When you're not around
I feel so heartbroken,
I can't think of anything
Except the last words you have spoken.
I will never ignore you
I will always give you time, I can't think straight
You're always in my mind.
I love you a lot
I wish you knew,
I've never felt this way before For my first love is you.
Spring
by Emily Paterson
As the sun peeks over the hilltop,
Glistening on the melting snow like stars,
I can smell the scent of new life.
The tulips peek through the gardens,
Like children playing hide-and-seek.
The colours are as radiant as the sun.
The feeling of new life beginning and
The feeling of starting over.
The moist droplets of dew on the blades of gras Sparkle in the sunlight.
The beautiful season of spring is here.
