Twenty-five years ago, had you said to a teacher of CCI that in 1999 there would oe computers in all of the classrooms, motions sensors would be used as the security system, a machine would call your parents at night to inform them that you had skipped your last class that day and you will solve your math problems on a calculator that is the size of a credit card, the answer would have been, "Ng..way!" Technology is moving ahead at an incredible speed. In fact, a computer more than doubles its capacity every eight-teen months. Ten years ago, vinyl records were a thing of the past. What would CCI be like twenty-five years from now? We can only speculate. But who would best provide a scientific exclamation to this question, but the innovative students in Mr.Purdy's enriched science class! Buses that travel through the air, according to Marcie Chaudet will replace yellow school buses. For those who live in close proximity to the school, Heather Spaull foresees students simply hopping on their space scooters or skateboards that will float them to CCI. There will be moving sidewalks like those at the airport. Students will no longer have any need for pencils and erasers. Instead, agreed by the entire class, everyone will carry their own personal laptop. Furthermore, uniforms will become the norm. Morning announcements will still feature Mr.Tudor telling us to hurry to our homerooms. However, the P.A. system will have long been disconnected and we will view him as he flashes across our computer screens, states Kate MacKeracher. Although our present Ozzie is only two years old, in twenty-five years he will have participated in hundreds of sports events and need replacing. Yolanda Shea can invision our new Ozzie as a hologram projected on a laser screen. Leeann Deacon is relieved that no one will need to be inside that hot and, aromatic outfit. What about the teachers in 2025? What teachers? There will be robots! Furthermore, students will travel around to actually see what is being studied.
