The CCI Senior Football season was a roller aster ride with incred- ible highs and lows. Starting the season with the lowest numbers in recent years and inexperience at several key positions, the Owls
could never establish any con- sistency. The Fighting Owls sche- dule started with a beating at the hands of Barrie Eastview., but a vic- tory over North, a great game against lnnisdale and a tie with eventual GBSSA champs Central; and op- timism ran wild. In our final
game, the Owls were off 15-13
and this knocked us from 3'd to 5 h and out ofthe playoffs. Broken plays and mistakes hurt us in the standings, but heart and pride made this year's senior team, excellent representations ofthe school. All ofthe players were determined to bring home the GB trophy in hon- our of Mr. Hunwick's final year
as the Sr. Fighting Owl coach, but it wasn't meant to be.
