Late last June and upon the conclusion of both semesters this year, CCI had to bid a sad farewell, but best wishes to many members of both the teaching and secretarial staff upon their retirements. As each individual embarks on many new and exciting adventures, we must say thank you for their many, many years of hard work and dedication. May they always carry a part of the black and gold in their hearts.
THE C 0 L 0 U R S OF CCI
Collingwood Collegiate is a beautiful place. I' m not talking about the building, although it has beauty, too. I speak, instead, of the people within it. Share with me the colours of CCL
I see purple. CCI Fighting Ow ls are charming and determined. Another glance shows me that the colour orange is showing through. This means that we are enthusiastic and creative. Another hue is visible. Its green tones tell us that the people of CCI are open- minded and trustworthy.
More colour in my sight. Yellow clearly means that Owls are outgoing and approachable while maintaining an optimistic outlook. I look to one side and notice black. Its strong presence indicates that we are independent and confident. The colour pink lends to us the adjectives kind and playful.
A calm blue adds to the kaleidoscope. We arc defined as laid-back, but sincere. Finally, a really bright colour attracts my attention. How can you miss the brilliant red showing how passionate and courageous CCI is?

Now that 1 am able to see all the colours, I can sec we create a terrific mural . All the colours come together to present a vibrant and vital depiction ofCCI. The characteristics represented by this rainbow accentuate our positives. Clothed in these colours, not only is CCI a caring community for its members, but its is a welcoming place for newcomers
