It is often not difficult teling when a person is celebrating a birthday during the school year. Just look at their locker! In the early hours before the birthday person arrives, their friends will cluster, covering the door with balloons, streamers and signs. Lockers are a very personal matter. Everyone likes to decorate the inside with a collage of photos, mementos, a timetable and an unbreakable locker mirror. As the football season progresses, there is often the smell of sweaty uniforms emitting from some. On occassion, the whiff of a rotting egg sandwich catches the attention of passerbys. Some keep their lockers very neat and orderly. Others wait for the bi- annual locker clean-up and the surprise of finding an item that they assumed was lost. Instead it was found at the bottom of a stuffed locker!
