The Student Council Elections and Assemblies appeared on sea deck and were a big hit this year. The crew gather'droundastheywatched their fellow members perform to convince the audience who is best fitted for each specific position. The competi- tors were on the lookout to see what other hand's ideas were and what they're doing this year. Who would win? Only time will telt and only an audience full ofSwabbes, Buccaneers, Second Mates, and First Mates can make a decision. As the competitors paraded around on Sea Deck, the hands cheered and roared. Some yelled, "Shiver me Timbers!", while others cried "Swab!". At the end of the day , the competitors headed home and practically go addled be- cause of the suspense. "Who won?, Who won?, Am I a Shark Bait or just a Dog?" ,they asked themselves re- peatedly as the votes being handed in. When the results are announced by the Bosun, everyone was relieved or disappointed. Whatever the cost, each hand looks forward to the next year for elections.
