"The Smokers"... they have their own section of the school outside, and for those of us who don't smoke, we try to steer clear of this area -- but why? Is it the smell of smoke that turns us away? The foul language that seems to accom- pany their attitudes? Besides these more-com- mon-than-not attributes, are they not the same as non-smokers? Just because they smoke, does that make them any less of a person? No. They maylook, act, walkortalkdifferently, butthey're the same in every other way. And sure, they might've made a mistake by starting to smoke, or continuing to do so, but that's their choice. With the help of non-smokers, maybe we can all come together and put a stop to this health haz- ard.
On the following page, you will find a few reasons why smoking is hazardous to one's health and others. This is not an anti-smoking cam- paign, simply just a reminder, a little piece of advice that may help us all out. Good luck to those who smoke and want to quit, and good job for those who have.
