Everyone has at least a few good friends. During our high school years, we meet nany of the buckos and first mates that we'll be onboard with, right up until we're ent to Davy Jones' Locker! They're the mates that you'll be havin' lassies and lads vith and privateering with for the next 30 or 40 years. That's right, the buccaneer hat used to pull your hair and throw spit balls at you in grade 10 english, may one lay be your husband! (MID LT) We have a grade 12 old salt, Naomi Kolbe, and a econd mate, Cassandra Robinson. (BOT LT) Harry Francais and Shannon
Farrimond, both old salts, smile for the camera. Yourbuckosaretheonesthatsqueezedyourhand as you got your belly button pierced and stuck up for you that time an Old Salt tried to make you walktheplankingrade9. (MIDLT)Twooldsalts, Jamie Hastings and Jamie Kerr take a break from all the hard work they've been doing on the good ship CCL (MID RT) Deanna Saugh, Ashley Bates and Lori York are ready to graduate and move on to join another pirate crew.(BOT RT) Brooke Caskie and Rachel McDonald study together for their next big exam to become old salts. Each individual has some type of friendship, whether it be a sib- ling, a favourite pet, an imaginary one, or an old bucko from kindergarten. Friends are always a great asset to have for many reasons. We may not keep in contact with all of them, but we will remember them for the rest of our lives.
