At CCI, the sight of black and gold is ever present, but during the Christmas season, it's definitely a time when red and green are sported. As each day draws closer to the Christmas break, more Santa hats and tinsel appears. The spirit was high when it came to the door decorating contest. During the last 2 days before judging, participants were busy adding last minute touches . Mr. Squire ' s science room became the winners of the
'Most Spirited' Room while Mr. Mundie's homeroom was noted for their door completely decorated in recycled materials . The music department held their annual Christmas Concert in front of a packed house and Mr. Moore's woodworking class once again made amultitudeofchildren'stoysfortheSalvation
Army. The Students Councils' arms were filled as they attempted to carry all of the donated new toys to the Council room for delivery to the Salvation Army. The final day brought the Christmas Assembly in the gym. Teachers and students were treated to Lance Dobinson singing his wishes for everyone to have a Merry Christmas, various groups acted out skits and Mr. Mcintosh recited a poem about the true meaning of Christmas. Mr. Atkinson and his fellow
vice- principals donned Marching Band outfits and danced along with the sugar plum fairies who bore a definite resemblance to Mr. Tudor, Mr. Butler, Mr. Mundie and Mr. Kennedy. The assembly concluded with 2 weeks filled with a little rest, lots of snowboarding and huge amounts and turkey and cranberry sauce.
Stephanie McDuffie (LT) takes the door decorating contest to 'new heights' as she climbs up to add the garland and paper.
Braden Green (BELOW) and his fellow decorators proves that the males are as creative in the door decorating contest as the females. Martha Stewart- move over!
