     Co-operative Education
Collingwood Collegiate provides a sound educational setting for all student agents. They are encouraged to reach their greatest potential and are taught by a team of caring professiona1s.The education of these individuals is not limited to the 4 walls of a
classroom. Courses offer an abundance of field trips and there is further opportunity to get a taste of the 'real world' on a wider basis. This comes through experiencing co- operative education. Led by Mrs . McLeod and assisted by Mrs. Lemon, dozens of students received hands on experience in a workplace in the Collingwood area.
Such placements included elementary schools, G and M Hospital, hair salons, the town municipal offices and other businesses. Co-

op educations offers so many advantages . It provides each individual with work experience, it develops people skills and preparation for a future career. In some cases, it is an eye opener for anindividualwholearnsthat whatwasinitiallyconsidered a good career choice really wasn't suited to that person. Many co-op placements even lead to a paid position at the conclusion of the semester.
It is truly a win- win situation for all agents!
