Twas the week before Christmas and outside of the school,
The weather was so balmy, you could still swim in the pool.
The bay wasnt frozen, the mountain was so green
The CCI alp ine ski team was the saddest Ive seen.
For the x-country skiers, they couldnt practice their sport
They didnt have snow and they still wore their shorts.
The CCI hockey team at least had ice though it was phony
They thought they saw snow piles, but it was from the zamboni. The Fighting Owl curlers found their rinks really slow
They fell short of the hog line, their rocks wouldnt go.
Back in the halls of good ol CCI, the students were down.
How could you have Christmas spirit when the ground was still brown? Even Rob McKaye with his blonde curly head,
Didnt wear green and he didnt wear red.
Five days before break, I think 112 was the room.
Decided they had to get rid of the gloom.
They pulled out bright paper, some tinsel, some cloth
They were decorating their door tho some passer-bys scoffed. Soon the mood caught, they were joined by 101.
A competition was starting, everyones door was being done.
As the week went on, making the best door became fierce. Someone rented a smoke machine, imported snow, it was Pearce! Santa Hats were appearing as the deadline was nearing.
There were lights, there was glitter
There was laughter, there was titter.
Even though the snow before Christmas did not appear
CCI had found the Christmas spirit, joy and good cheer.
We wish you the best and success in the New Year!
