Just Keep Swimmingll!
This year the 25 member swim team traveled to Hamilton for an Invitational in November and to Barrie for the GBSSA finals in December and 6 made it to the OFSSA championships in Etobicoke. Thanks to dedicated parents and athletes all three events were a tremendous success with many top 8 finishes and personal bests for all swimmers.
Highlights this year, include the Junior Boys Medley relay in Hamilton, literally cheering as they swam to a 5th place finish, the inspiring first place finishes of David Marsden in the 100 and 200 freestyle at GBs and the great improvements made by rookies such as Boston Beck, Robyn Hollands, Scott Greves and Sam Larking.
The old guard of swimmers made up of Levi Beck, Kendra Machin, Taylor Fox, Patrick Skelton, Connor Linton and James Crocker kept the team on track with their many top place finishes as well.
The morning workouts this year paid off at GBs with many personal bests and top 8 finishes in virtually all events. The team came second overall at the GBSSA championships. Well done! Dedicated swimmers gave it their best and despite illnesses, heavy work loads at school and jobs made the season fun and fast!!! The coaches thank you for a great season and look forward to next year. Just keep swimming everyone
