On January 14, 2009, the town held its first official Hockey Night in Collingwood. The boys and girls hockey teams from CCI and Jean Vanier faced off at the Eddie Bush Arena. The CCI girls took the first game, while the Jean Vanier boys took the second.
During intermission, crowds were kept entertained with a game between the teachers and the OPP. In the end, the teachers proved too much to handle. Other crowd pJeasers included free t- shirst toss into the crowds, a frisbee toss, and a race between our beloved Ozzie Owl and Jean Vanier's mascot, the Storm. Hats off to the organizers of this wonderful event.
