Facebook was started by a Hardvard student in his dorm room as a way to allow his friends to connect with one another. Since then, it has grown to over 300 million users worldwide. Facebook is not just for teenagers, as everybody from business exectutives to your grandmother is on this site. When you think about it, CCI is like Facebook. Besides learning about the periodic table, it's also a place to make friends and get to know people.
Every one has different profiles and friends. We can choose who's friends request we want to accept and who's we want to decline. Besides choosing our friends, other similarities we have with Facebook are we can change our styles and how we present ourselves just like how we would change our facebook profile pictures or our myspace blogs. Lo< around CCI and you'll realize that it''s just one big Facebook website just waiting to be poked.
