25 CCI students participated on the Alpine Ski Team this year with excellent results from both the men's and women's Level 2 team. Both teams looked like they were in contention for the gold medal at the GBSSA finals and CCI men's Level 2 came out on top to qualify for OFSAA 2010. The Ladies put in a great effort but placed 2nd overall in Simcoe County and as a team did not qualify to go to the Ontario Championships. All season the women had top 10 results from Meredith McGarry, Sophie Kitchen and early Morrison who dominated the women's Level 2 races all winter. On the men's side Level 2 racers Graham Woodhouse, Ryley Remme, Liam Jacques, Josh MacPherson and Jason Nash were consistent performers and were the team that represented GBSSA at OFSAA this year winning the OFSAA silver medal in Giant Slalom, one point from a gold medal. The team also had a 4th place finish in the Slalom. This year the Level 1 men's team was rebuilding after our domination over the last 3 years. There is much potential for this young team in years to come. Congratulations to all racers for an excellent and exciting season.
