At the end of every year the Out Doorsmen club looks for model students to participate in a 4 day canoe trip during the first week of school. Mr Hammond and Mrs McCarl (aka Johns) took a group of grade 11 students to the Missisagua Provincial Park near Parry Sound. The 24 students and teachers set out on September 9th in twelve canoes. The trip was a great success, only losing one student Jamie Gotthelf, due to sickness on the first night.
Canoeing up to 7 hours a day, the group of grade 11's did many team building activities like playing capture the flag, exploring a ship wreck, hiking through forests and watching the sun sets while telling scary stories by the fire. All the students and teachers had an awesome time and wish they could go again.
