The "12/CBand" meets twice a week to rehearse, and has students in both grade nine and ten. Students in this band may be brand new to music. or may have had one or two years previous experience. They work hard to prepare for their performances. including the Heritage Music Festival in Chicago. where
4they are competing this year. The "13/C Band" is conducted by Miss Marcotte. The band plays the pieces Night Flight. Morning Mist. and Escape From Krypton.

it's been a tricky year this year with jazz band not playing for a couple of months. but as of mid February the band came roaring back to life! What a talented and dedicated group of students! The band now sets its sights on Chicago, and in the big picture is gearing up to be our uusical representatives when they
travel to our sister city. Katano Japan! We look forward to hearing moregreat things
from this remarkable group!
