The Canadian and World Studies Department offers courses in Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Law, and Politics. Extended French courses for Grade 9 Geography and Grade 10 History are available to take as well. There are many field trips throughout the school year including trips to the R.O.M, Courthouses and a number of museums. Each spring the department offers a senior field trip to New York City or an overseas destination. These trips are often the highlight of many students' high school experience. The department offers unique experiences to students, such as participating in Mock Trials and Mock United Nations Simulations.
