Mr Mills became the 10th principal of CoUinBwood Colle8iale. The lerm principal came into effect in 1893 when the province abolished the lerm headmasler for the more ap- propriale lerm-principal or principal- leacher Mr Mills must have exper- ienced some initial difficulties due to the len8th of the lenure of his predecessor lie was prepared for this and all indications point to con- tinued 8reat success for the Col- le8iale. In 1905. lhe Department of Education enticed him away from C.C.I. to become Provincial & h o o l Inspector of Education. lie left. C.C.I. in Dec. 1905. liis new po- sition 8Bve him responsibility for North oimcoe and Isler on he be- came inspector of Continuation &hools.
11. Mr Ceor8e Hammill B.A. January 1906-June 1907
Mr. Hammill was a mathematics leacher at C.C.I. lie was promoled to Prin- cipal when Mr Mills resi8ned.
12. Mr Percy W. Brown B.A. &pl. 1907-fall 1913
This well liked principal brou8ht a lot of ener8Y· enthusiasmand suc- cess to the CoUe8iale. In 1908 he was lhe drivin8 force behind Lhe publication of the ft.rst Cleaner. a production o f the C.C.I. Lilerary &Jciely. In the full of1913 the North Bay &hool Board was lemptin8 him with an offer of a lar8er principal- ship. The CoUin8wood Board would not stand in his way. PW. Brown went on to become & hool Inspector in North Bay and finally. re8ional inspec- tor for lhe province of Ontario. lie

Mr feasby was an En81ish leacher at C.C.I. The board fell Lhal he would be a 8ood replacement for Mr PW. Brown. lie served as Prin- cipal durin8 Lhe Lra8ic time when many CoUin8wood students were leavin8 school to join the Canadian troops in Europe in lhe 8reat war betler known as World War O ne. The Board promoled him to principal in &pt. 1919 al a sa- lary of $2100.00 year In 1924 he left. Collin8wood to take on lhe many challen8es as Principal in Pembroke Ontario. Mr Willou8hby was princi- pal when fire destroyed Lhe old CoUe8iale. lie had to be very in- ventive as Lhe school had to func- tion in rooms above lhe storefront buildin8s on Lhe main slreel unlil the Board approved Lhe plans for a new C.C.I.
