sity. At present he is Chief Librarian of the city of Toronto. In the course of his career he has been the author of several well-known books and has contributed to magazines, not only in Canada and the States but irn 'Great Britain. We cannot help feeling proud at having such an eminent Canadian a graduate of our school.
HIS HONOR SIR DANIEL HUNTER MACMILLAN, Lieutenant-·Governor of Manitoba from 1900-1911. He is an ideal type of Canadian as de- picted by Canada's leading news- papers. Sir Daniel has been most loyal to his country in time of need, having served with distinction in the Niagara Frontier 1864, Fenian Raids 1866, Red River Expedition 1870 and North West Rebellion 1885. lt would take many pages to tell how arduously he laboured and with what astounding success he was crowned, but it suffic·es to say he has attrib- uted largely to the development of the West. He has been presented to the Royal Family and entertained King George and Queen Mary during their last visit to Canada.
LATE HON. JAMES S. DUFF-
Who for many years was a mem- ber of Parliament and later Minister of Agriculture in the Whitney ad- ministration, was another esteemed graduate. He was presented to their Maj E.isties King George and Quee11 Mary at their coronation in 1908.
SIR WILLIAM HEARST-
Excelled by few as a lawyer, Sir William made a most successful Prime Minister of Ontario. Since his retirement from politics he has tak- en a position as International Water- ways Commissioner.

Professor of German and Liter- ature at the Queen's University, After matriculating at the C.C.I. he graduated from U. of T. and then from the University of Paris and the University of Leipzig. He is a con- tributor to many prominent magaz- ines and has written several French and German books.
MRS. MADGE R. WATT, M.A.,- M.B.E., -T oronto Saturday Night, in a reference to Mrs. Watt says:

For several years a lecturer at Trinity College, Toronto, and later Principal of the City school, Strath- cona, Alberta. He is a past presid- ent of the North Amerioan Teach- ers' Association and was a Senator of the University of Alberta. Mr. Jenldns has been the author of sev- eral famous poems and a contributor to some of the more irr!portant mag- azines.
The late DR. GEO. C. CREEL- MAN, B.Sc.A.-Was for many years President of the Ontario Agriculture College. He was a staunch work~ · for the development of scientific farming.

Has risen to be one of the notable surgeons of Canada.
N.C. JAMES, M.A., Ph.D.-
Recognized as one of the scholarly men of Canada. He was for many years on the staff of Western Uni- versity, London, and was Provost and President. He is now President Emeritus.
FRANK DENTON, K.C.-
Head of the firm of Grover and Field and one of the most outstand- ing lawyers in Toronto. He has been an ardent worker in educational :!ircles in Toronto.
His Lordship BISHOP HEHEl{ J. HAMILTON-The first Bishop of the Anglican Church of Canada in Japan. He was one of the first stud- ents of this collegiate and a graduate of Wycliffe College.
DR. A. E. WEBSTER-
One of Toronto's leading dentists. For many years he was Dean of On- talio :Cental College and is yet a member of the Faculty.
