This game was played in the gym because of the cold weather, but •;vas a good snappy game, both teams showing good form and working well
although the confi11ed space made batting rather hard.
Besides these games the team played two games with Penetang, after the Junior rugby game. The weather was very cold, with sn~w threatening, so the full number of
innings were not played. The score was tied when a home run by Jean Owens broke the deadlock, making th e final score 14-13, Collingwood was also victorious in the return game this being played in the gymn. The definite score was not recorded bat Collingwood led d the finish.
The softball girls also played against the school team from Thorn- bury, winning two games out of three.
The team has had a very succes3- ful season and much credit is d'..!e to Mr. Ellis. By consistent practice they have shown what can be ac- complished although many of them have had practically no experience on ball teams up until this year and it is to be hoped that they can re- tain the cup another year.
