Girls C.O.S.S.A. Volleyball at Orillia
The girls Junior and Senior teams left Co-l-lingvnod -- about 9 am. on Saturday November 25. It was .a very col~J wild day and some of us wondered i.f we would ever.reach·. O rrillia. Finill ly we did however and had just a short time before we started to play.
The girls on the Senior Team were:

The teams we played were Alliston, Huntsville, Orillia, Barrie, Midland. The results were: Collingwood defeated
A lliston, Hunt sville, Barrie: Collingwood tied Midlancr--·
and Collingwood lost to Orillia. Coll:ingwood came out, in second place with Orillia on top.
About 12-noon we had a good dinner in the cafeteria. We played two games after dinner and then climbedon· th~ bus and reached home in time to see the hockey game.
Junior Girls Cossa Basketball
This year the Junior Girls Cossa Basketball had a new team, with the exception of Elma Kenwell who played last year. The team consisted of Mary Heron (captain), Elma Kenwell (co-captain), Ruth McIntyre, Betty Wagner, Majorie Hogg as forwards and Marjorie Chestnut, Gwen Mason,
Doreen Watson and Audrey Fiddler playing guard.
The first game was played in Barrie Collegiate -on Jan- uary 12~ In the first half of the game the scofe was kept down, but in the sBcondhalf Barriestart-ed'--:'-sinking them in one after-- an9ther and the final s core was Barrie 35 Collingwood ~. and ~ary Heron got the·three points.
The next game was played in our own gymnasium against Or- rillia. Although our team had plenty of supporters"', "WE:f lo~t by a score of 29-9, but not becunse they weren't try- ing. Betty Wagner was among the top-'scorers.
