GIRlS C.O.S.S.A. BASKETBALL Junior
This year Collingwood had tWio teams entered in the C. 0. S. s. A. Ioo;p which was composed of teams from MidLand, Barrie amd Orillia, with .an addition from Alliston.
The Senior team this year consisted of: Mary Heron (crup- tain), Rufu Mcintyre (co-cap- tain), Ka;thryn Lewin, Sonja Nisula, Shirley Hunter as for- wards, and IDtorothy McCombie, Audrey Fiddler, Gwen Maron, Betty Taylor, Diane St. Amand played guJard.
Mary Heron. was this year's high scorer for the seniors with 62 points.
We played our first game on the fourth of January in Mid-
lr-nd and lo•st by a slight mar- gin. The foHowi<n,g game was o'ayed in Collingwood where the Collingwood team emerged victorious against Alliston. Senior
The Junior team won onP. of thPtr q,?mes this ye,ar when they cldeated Alliston at Colling- wr>od. Thev came close on some other occasio<ns but could not
come through with wins.
This year's Junior team con- sisted of: Miary Beynon (cap- tain), Geor!!ie An n Munro, Frances Hart1e. Bernice Scotney, Florence Currie, as forwards. The guards were May Ward, Kay Bell, Marlene PHtz (co-captain), Barbara KuLow, Betty Blueman.
