The Interform Basketba II season this year was a fairly successfu I one, but because of the fact that the buses left early three nights of the week, the B.A.A. was forced to establish a system whereby basketball could be played during the lunch periods. There were many problems to overcome in the org~nization of such a scheme, but with the aid of Mr. Peat and Mr. Titus, who did much in the way of advising and scheduling of the games, these problems were rr.inimized .
Four leagues were formed with Grades XII and XIII playing in one league. Because there were a great number of classes participating and because class prestige was at stake, the competition became quite rugged.
In the Grade IX league, IXC captured the crown while XA walked away with theirs. The Grade XI league saw XlA win the schedule by a large margin but lose a disputable decision to XIBD. Competition was at its greatest in the Senior division with XIIIA having an undefeated season and then downing XIIBD in the semi- finals. However, thed~rkhorses, XIIIB, did not play in the league until the finals because of irregularities in their lunch periods. Displaying finesse and team work, well-mixed with a touch of Lady Luck in their shooting, they handed the highly touted XlilA a stunning defeat to capture the Senior Championship.
To Dave Culham, the energetic president of the B.A.A., who is directly responsible for the success of this venture, we doff our hats in saluting him.
