The Cheerleaders
The cheerleaders of 1959- 1960 were Jackie Martin, Michele Radermacher, Cathy Lockhart, Elaine Hutchison, Gwen White, Pat Horne, Rae Griesbach, Gloria Culbert, Marlene Cook, and Gillian Worrad. The year was successful under Mrs. Gough's management. The season, starting with the Tudhope -Thompson Meet, continued through volleyball, football, and both boys' and girls' basketball. The cheerleaders were somewhat disappointed with the students, whose lack of support for their teams was often very noticeable. The hope of the cheerleaders is that, next year, the students will bolster their lagging spirits, and, not only come out to the games, but also yeII for their teams. After aII, the cheerleaders are only supposed to lead the cheers.
