This year, our Boys' and Girls' Presidents Walter Borthwick and Dianne Paterson have decided to work together for the whole year as presidents of the Student's Council instead of each taking the presidency for one half of the year.
The Council started off with a considerable sum of money in the treasury this year, but that money was quickly diminished.as several grants were given to many of the various clubs in the school.
At Christmas time dozens of attractive Christmas cards bearing the school crest were sold, and, of course, student cards were sold as usual.
The school board gave the council twenty five dollars for arranging a contest in which each student was given the opportunity of naming the new high school which is being built outside of Stayner. The council chose the five most popular suggestions and from these five the school board selected the name of the school.
