One of the most successfu I Band Concerts ever presented by the band was attended by over 200 people. The programme consisted of a number of selections by the band, a selection by a brass quartette, a tuba solo by Ken Black, a selection by the choir and the introduction of the newIy formed C. D.C .I. Dance Band. The Dance Band also played for a public dance which followed the Concert.
During November the band was invited by their former band director, Mr. Hollier, to play at the Camp Borden District High School Commencement.
They also played for the C. D.C .I. Drama Club when the Club presented its evening of One Act Plays.
In December the Band had the opportunity of playing for the Creemore Santa Claus Parade.
The Dance Band played for the Dance which followed the C .D .C .I. football team's banquet.
At the Christmas Assembly, Mr. Knights introduced his Junior Band which he plans to enter in competition at
the Kiwanis Music Festival this year.
During the examination schedule the band played in the Collingwood Santa Claus Parade.
On the Thursday evening before Christmas a representation of the band provided an hour of Christmas Carols
at the G. and M. Hospital in Collingwood.
The talent and determination of the members combined with everyone's support should see the band succeed in
accomplishing greater tasks in the future and bring more honour to the school and surrounding communities.
