Ontario Athletic Leadership Camp
Last summer, we, the undersigned students, weregiventhe privilege of attending the O.A.L.C. on Lake Couchiching near Orillia.
Training at the Camp is designed to develop, through instruction and participation, various athletic skills. For this purpose, the Campisadequatelyprovided with a large gymnasium, two tracks, trampolines, tennis courts, golf course, and swimming areas. A staff of outstanding instructors ensured excellent coaching in these activities.
Much stress is placed upon the development of such qualities of leadership as initiative, a sense of responsibility, punctuality, and the ability to inspire others. These qualities are developed through such activities as practice-teaching, organizational problems, and general camp routine.
We wish to express our appreciation to the Physical Education Staff and the Collingwood District Collegiate Institute Board for making possible our attendance at the Camp.
