 Principal's Foreword
As you look back on the school year of 1962 - '63, you will probably remember it as the year in which the Technical Wing was added to the Collegiate. For many of you, the new facilities have arrived too late to affect your school careers. You may recall the extension cords "booby-trapping" the halls, the bells ringing at unexpected times, the noise and dirt and confusion--but otherwise the Technical Wing did not concern you. For many of thosE! who come after you, however, it will mean more interesting things to do and to study, op- portunities to acquire skills leading to jobs at good pay, and a wider variety of school subjects that has been so far available.
Changes such as these have been taking place in many areas and aspects of life with increasing rapidity as the twentieth century progresses. It is reasonable to expect that this trend will continue for some con- siderable time to come. The only peoplewhowill suffer seriously from such development are those who are unable or unwilling to adapt themselves to changing conditions, those unable or unwilling to learn new know- ledge and acquire new skills as they move through life.
If, when you leave school, you have developed to the point where you can learn something new if you have to, you can look forward to the future with con- fidence.
