A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
The annual edition of the Gleaner provides the Board of Trustees with the opportunity of extending to the staff and student body greetings and good wishes.
Attention this year is being focussed upon the revised course of studies for Secondary Education which will come in to full operation in this school in September 1963. The program is intended to broaden the area of instruction from the strictly academic to the wider field of vocational training. A very great invest- ment of time, money, and effort has been made in order to provide the young people of this district with adequate facilities for the new type of training. The Board trusts that a substantial number of students will derive much benefit from the new courses. It is the Board's hope and belief that the year 1963 will con- stitute an historic point in the development of education in this area.
