Senior G. B. S. S. A. Basketball Team
The Senior team of this year, while not sporting a very good won-lost record, can still be said to have been a powerful club. When one remembers that the Seniors lost four games by less than four points, it can be seen that the opposition did not have an easy time. The powerful centre, Alex Besse, was supported offensively by Don Coukell, Frank Hale, Bryon Sheffield, Don Ellis, and defensively by Ken Saul and Brian Hodges. The Seniors made a valiant showing in spite of the man-power shortage.
Mr. Freudeman certainly needs to be congratulated on his display of patience when Chuck McNicol, Frank Nettleton, and Ed Dunn rendered themselves academically ineligible and on his display of courage in continuing with "Freudeman's Few." The team did play exciting and sometimes surprising basketball, however, and were able to consistently defeat the Juniors and the Midgets.
