Bert Robinson came back from his fishing holiday proud of his bulging muscles.
"Look at these arms," he said.
They were certainly in good con- dition and Doug Chessell put it down to rowing, so when he went on holiday he rowed for miles and miles but all he got was a pair of blistered hands. On returning home he asked Bert why he had not got bulging muscles from row- ing.
"Rowing" snorted Bert. "I got my muscles from pulling so many fish out of the water."

Mr. Smith--"1-!ere I have a very rare old revolver from the times of the Romans."
Bob Simpson--"But the Romans didn't have revolvers."
Mr. Smith- -"Ah, That is why it is so rare."
Janie Hawman--''My Aunt Matilda fell from a liner into a shark-infested sea, but the sharks didn't eat her."
Cheryl Morrison--"Why not?"
Janie --''They were man -eating sharks.''
