Spilled Russian Dressing
The students of Home Economics spend half of the school year in the Foods and Nutrition Department. In this specialized department, the girls learn many valuable skills: They learn to be well informed and responsible consumers; they learn the interesting art of food preparation and service; they learn to practice good nutrition in. everyday living.
During the remainder of the school year, the Home Economics students study sewing techniques and, depending on their skills, make blouses, skirts, dresses and suits. They study fabrics, good buying habits, and the value of personal appearance.
The girls apply all the various aspects of the Home Economics programme to their school, their home and their community.
