C.C.I. Concert Band
This past year has again proved to be an exciting year for the C. C. I. Band. The band took a trip to Ottawa in September as guests of Hilcrest High School. This was a particularly notable feat since we had only 18 school days to get in shape after the summer holidays. If we may judge by the comments of the Ottawa audience, the impres- sion we made was indeed favourable. This trip was again proves the advantage that students in the school, the chance to tour this great country of ours and to meet other Canadians similarly interested in music.
The next major event was the concert we put
on in November. This entailed a great deal of work, but the result wasworthit. The large audience that turned out was enthusiastically appreciative.
Our future plans include exchange concerts with C amp Borden, a concert with the Public School choirs, and a trip to the Kiwanis Music festival. Another concert may be given here in March.
These are only a few of the plans the future holds for us. W ewish to thank all those who have supported us, and we hope they will continue to do so in the future.
