As Girls' Athletic President, I would like to thank all the girls on my executive for their co-operation this year. It is because of their hard work and enthusiasm that this has turned out to be a very successful sports year.
The Volleyball and Basketball teams did very well although they did not make the finals. Their hard work, fair play and effort proved to be the key to good sportsmanship and we were very proud to have them representing our school.
We would like to thank Miss Meredith for her help and encouragement for without her guidance, we would not have succeeded.
I am pleased to report that the Sports Nights were very successful this year. As an added attraction we had a band to conclude the evening with dancing. Thanks go to the Staff and Student Body for their participation in organizing this successful activity.
As our guest at the Twirp Dance alias 'Nail A Male', we had a temporary minister performing temporary weddings. The three hours of 'honeymooning' were spent dancing to the music of the 'Stampeders'.
I feel that this year has been successful all round. We did not bring home any trophies, but it was the participation and enthusiasm shown by the girls which made this a good year.
I have enjoyed working with my executive whose effort and work were performed efficiently. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Miss Meredith and Mrs. Kensit for their guidance.
