CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
This is the final year of operation for the Collingwood District Col- legiate Institute Board and in 1969 the schoolwill come under the juris- diction of a Board of Education which will govern the elementary and secondary schools within Simcoe County.
During the 17 years operation of the C.D.C.I. Board, the appointed members have worked diligently to provide excellent staff and facilities for both Collingwood and Stayner schools.
On behalf of the 1968 Board, I wish each and every student success in their schooling and all future endeavours and in closing, heartily re- commend for their reading the following quotations:
''The purpose of life is not to be happy at all. It is to be useful, to be honourable. It is to be compassionate. It is tom atte r, to have it make some difference that you lived." - Leo Rosten.
''The highest point of human courage is inspired by desperate odds. In- spiration is born of hard times; it is not born of easy living." -Ursula Bloom.
"You will have a better chance of leaving your footsteps on the sands of time if you wear work shoes." - John C. Vivian.
''The ideals of people are usually a century ahead of their time, but their conduct is usually a century behind." - Sydney J. Harris.
"It has been suggested that the t r o u b 1e with each generation is that it hasn't read the minutes of the last meeting." - Crusader.
