EDITORIAL
1969- 1970- it shall be known in the C. C. I. history books as a year of change. As the world around us was shifting into a new decade, we, at Collingwood Collegiate, were also moving into a new era. This was the year that Mr. Moyer joined the staff as our new principal and brought with him "the new system".
This was the year that our first United Appeal campaign was carried out and the old Variety Night became the musical production "Bye Bye Birdie". This was also a year of crowded halls and large classes, as we looked wishfully at the plans for
an expanded school. But, most important of all, this was the year that the
Gleaner came into being again. After a year's absence, we began to realize how vitd a yearbook really is. We enjoyed putting together this 1970 edition of the
C. C. I. Gleaner and we hope that, in years to come, it will provide fond memories of your days at C. C. I.
