MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
W. M. Ford Vice Chairman
It is my pleasure to extend greetings on behalf of the Simcoe County Board of Education to the students and staff of the Collingwood Collegiate Institute and in particular, to the hard-working staff of the 1970 Gleaner.
This year's major increase in enrollment has confirmed the need for the
additional facilities as planned by the former C.D.C.I. Board and as subsequently endorsed by the Simcoe County Board of Education. These facilities have been given top priority rating by the Board however, at the time of writing (November, 1969) we are facing very serious delays in governmental approval of the project.
Hopefully these delays will be overcome and your school will, in the near future, be provided with more flexible facilities and programs.
We wish each one every success in their schooling ancl future endeavours and we sincerely hope that you have developed an appreciation of learning so that education is accepted as a continuing process throughout your life.
