CHESS CLUB

This school organization has moved more towards inter-school competition this year. A challenge from the strong Alliston team resulted in a complete and crushing defeat for the brilliant
Collingwood team. This defeat, however, was preceded last year by two other hard fought tournaments with Barrie Central, one a draw, and the second a total victory for our boys.
On the home front, chess club action has proceeded quite well. Meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays kept the members' chess-playing ability finely tuned, and many a fine match was played.
