The past year has kept the Drama Club fairly busy. Although it took a while to get started, the Drama Club soon got down to business. In the first meeting the following were elected to the executive: Michael Pace- president, John Hacking- Vice-president, Terry Lynn Clarkin- Secretary, and Carol Drome- treasurer. Our staff advisor is Miss Blackburn.
On November 4, 1969 Miss Blackburn and several members of the Drama Club along with Miss Webster and several of her students visited Guelph University. During the visit the students toured the Language
Labs and Arts Building' at the University. Later in the evening we watched a Drama Workshop put on for
the students of the University.
In the middle of November the club began preparing for its first production this year. After four
weeks of auditioning, rehearsing, practices, and exchange of ideas the Drama Club presented "A KNIFE
TO THY THROAT" on Dec. 18, 1969. It starred Irene Chomyn, John Hacking, Michael Brand, Michael Pace, Kathy Ford, Gary Johns and Andrew McGillvray. Sets and Lighting were done by John Hacking, and costumes by Lorraine Pace.
Soon after the Christmas holidays the Drama club began preparing for its Drama Night in May. Plays were selected and auditions were held in early February and it is hoped that this event will be a
success.
In concluding this report I would on behalf of the Drama Club thank Miss Blackburn for her time and effort which made our club projects successful.
