PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
"Let the great world spin forever down the ringing grooves of change"
Tennyson
During the past year Collingwood Collegiate has changed in many different ways:
The school building has increased in size from forty teaching areas to fifty-five. Moreover, some of these areas are special- ized rooms to serve as library resource centre, rooms for semi- nars, for audio-visual work, as well as shops for occupation students and teachers work rooms. Provision of an open space science complex will effect changes in the teachers and stud- ents as teaching techniques are adjusted to these new facilities.
The new curriculum includes subjects such as art, mass media, film appreciation and theatre arts. Furthermore all students
may select from a complete spectrum of subjects at any grade
or level.
As these changes take place it is hoped that our students will become increasingly proud of their school, of their courses of study, and most important of themselves.
The Gleaner staff of 1971 are to be congratulated for preserv- ing some glimpses of Collingwood Collegiate during this year of change .
