In their attractive black and gold uniforms, the cheerleaders were a big boost to the school teams. Be- sides the moral support they gave to Collingwood athletics, the cheerleaders also roused school spirit at the home games. More power to them! Also, thanks to Miss MacDonald.
CURLING TEAM, (page 107): (LEFT TO RIGHT) Peter Rollings, Lead; Brian ]ago, Second; Millar Hodgart, Vice; Paul Spencley, Skip. Staff Advisor was Mr. Brock. The curling team won the Division Playdowns held in Barrie by defeating the three Barrie schools in an eight-team competition. However, they lost against Mid- land in their bid to attend the Ontario School Curling Finals held in W elland. A t the G. B.S. S. A ., a sixteen- team competition, the team won their first two games and then lost in the semi-final round against Barrie Central by a score of five to four.
