Jr. Math Contest

AIMS: The Junior Mathematics Contest is sponsored by the University of Waterloo annually to students to stimulate their interest in Mathematics and provide them with the opportunity to test their mathematical ability against others. The competition is on both individual and school basis mak- ing all students in grades nine, ten and eleven eligible.

The University of Waterloo Shield for the school with the highest score.
Cash prize of one hundred dollars for the student achieving the highest score, across Canada.
Cash prize of fifty dollars for the provincial champion. Other awards are made on a provincial basis.
Fees are paid by the Mathematics Department.
