The Curling Club was active on Wednelday afternoons with approximately 40-50 students participating in the peak of the season. Compared to last year's club, this year had a definite increase in curling.
The Boys' Curling Team entered a total of six major bonspiels this year (including our own) with limited success. Personally, I would like to thank all those connected with the Town and Country Swiverton Bonspiel for planning and operation of it was well done.
It was the second year that our girls entered the G.B.S.S.A. Bonspiel in Barrie. Although the team played well, they were defeated by some very strong competition. By the looks of it, we will have quite a few young competitive curlers, both boys and girls, to fill the teams next year.
The Curling Teams would like to extend their appreciation to coaches, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Cook, for their fine instruction and to the Student Council for their financial aid this past season.
