This years Gymnastics Club and Team have gotten off to a strong start, for in addition to last years participants, we have many new ones including a few boys.
There are many club members who do not wish to compete; they come out regularly, or when they have time to work out on the equipment.
This years team is stronger than ever, and with the number of juniors out this year, prospects for next year look even brighter.
We have already bad two invitational competitions with Georgian Bay Secondary School in Meaford. Although Meaford won both meets, it was by slim margins. The outstanding performer so far this year has been Renata Duda who won the intermediate division both times.
Right now everybody is working hard perfecting their routines for the zone competition at Banting Memorial High School on April 3, and for those who qualify, the G.B.S.S.A. at Eastview on April 9. We would like to extend a special thanks to Miss Mitchell for all her help this season. Good luck everyone and have a HAPPY HANDSTAND!
