The soocer team this year was a very good group of people. All the guys had a l.ot of fun, even on the days when it was pretty coki. We had a lot of new members on the team and benefited from all of them. We, the team, would like to thank Mr. Traynor for his time, effort and coaching.

Unfortunately, the CCI Senior Soccer team did not fare too well this season. Winning one out of the six league games, while allowing 32 goals against and scoring only 5, the team did not quite make the playoffs.
However, the fact that one·third of our team quit after the second game is not the real reason why the team did not win its share of games. Poor team discipline and little desire to win, once compounded with the fact that four outof our five man offensive unit were Juniors, were the real factors as to why we didn't "set the league on fire".
I think that more people should decide to get involved with the game of soccer so that a full team of senior students can be fielded- then successful teams will follow. The popularity of the game of soocer is on the upswing in Canada. ~Y should it not also be in CCI?
Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Beckett, our coach, for making the game a lot of fun by placing enjoyment and sportsmanship on a higher priority than winning. I would also like to thank both the persons who came to our home games and supported our team this past season.
